The system of human resources for tourism, service, and consulting training is very important for the tourism complex functioning. High-qualified human resources influence the profitability of tourism enterprises and are one of the factors which guarantee the leadership in the market of tourism resources. The growth of tourism activity requires an increase of qualified human resources. The formation of the Business Center of Tourism, Service, and Consulting was induced by the creation of the Department of International Service and Tourism.
The mission of the Business Center of Tourism, Service, and Consulting: “We help to Succeed!”
We provide guests and members of the Center with assistance in the development of business contacts, comprehensive qualitative information, consulting, and communicational support. We help to be constructive and consequent in the development of business strategies of partners, not depending on their size and business geography, as well as to realize their requirements on the organization of qualitative and luxury leisure.
We help guests and members of the Center to solve current issues of their activity, exchange their experience and opinions with other representatives of the business community, to unite for the achievement of their objectives, increase the intellectual and cultural level, to spend leisure time well.
Business Center of Tourism, Service, and Consulting works in the following focus areas:
1. Information and coordination
Creation of a print organ of the Business Center of Tourism, Service, and Consulting.
Establishment of contacts and cooperation with regional representatives, businesses, and organizations, which work in the field of service, tourism, and consulting.
2. Academic and methodic focus
Organization and carrying out of workshops, seminars, and training sessions for students of PSU and members of the Business Center of Tourism, Service, and Consulting;
Working out and publishing scientific and academic literature based on the materials of seminars and training sessions;
Creation of the system of training and retraining of experts and personnel in the field of service and tourism, hospitality, and consulting in order to develop a human resources base of tourism, service, and consulting in the region.
3. Science and research
Organization and carrying out of scientific and practical conferences at the university;
Working out and publication of scientific and academic literature based on the conference materials.
4. Profession guidance
Formation of a student tourism agency on the basis of the Business Center;
5. Culture and education
Rendering services to different types of tourism (ecological tourism and tourism in a natural environment, naturalistic tours, leisure in tourist centers and zones with developed physical facilities and infrastructure for active tourism and sports, leisure in tourist centers with developed entertainment facilities, beach recreation, and rest in forests or parks, winter tourism, health tourism, country tourism, city tourism, cultural and cognitive tourism, etc).
Rendering services of receipt and assistance to delegations, foreign guests, and business partners;
Guide services, interpreters, groups assistants. Tour service for tourist groups.
