Fr om 25 to 28 October tutors of the Chair of Language Art and Pedagogic Technologies of Philological Education O.Y. Beloglazova and O.Y. Protsenko took part in the onsite part of “Russian Language and Education in Russian in the system of international positioning of Russia” program of advanced training in A.S. Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language.

This is the first program in our country. By an order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, it was made by Rossotrudnichestvo, Federal Agency of Commonwealth of Independent States affairs, compatriots who live abroad, and A.S. Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language, which has a mission to teach foreigners Russian language, as well as to promote Russian language and education in Russian abroad.

Simultaneously with the advanced training programs, informational and methodic seminar for organizations leaders – executives of works within the framework of Russian Language federal program was organized. Pyatigorsk State University was represented by Elvira Dmitrievna Kondrakova, Rector’s Advisor on educational and extracurricular work. The seminar discussed issues of state priorities in promotion of Russian language and education in Russian, and problems of network cooperation of organizations-executives of the Russian Language program project.

The program was opened by the Prorector for Science of A.S. Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language Mikhail Andreevich Osadchiy. Veniamin Shaevich Kaganov, deputy Minister of Education and Science of the RF, and Margarita Nikolaevna Rusetskaya, Rector of A.S. Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language officially greeted the guests.

The advanced training program was extensive and had three stages. The first stage was extra-mural, where tutors took part in online webinars, and were able to get to know about new methods and aids for Russian language education. The second stage was on-site. It took place in Pushkin Institute and included lections, seminars, trainings conducted by the leading specialists in Russian as a Second Language, as well as marketing, etiquette, and other areas important for the tutors. On 27 and 28 October all participants were divided into sections, wh ere they presented their own projects. Our delegation performed in “Electronic education and distant educational technologies as an instrument of promotion of Russian language and education in Russian” section. O.Y. Protsenko presented a project of an open group online course called Russian Writers of XIX – early XX Centuries and the Caucasus, which was worked out by the tutors of the chair.

By the end of the program, all participants received certificates about the advanced trainings, certificates of program’s participant and USB-drive with all the materials, used during the program.
