Russian Poetry Event “Oh, mournful season that delights the eyes!” at “Pushkin Institute” Center of Russian Language and Culture in Italy
On December 6, 2018, “Pushkin Institute” – Center of Russian Language and Culture at Luigi Vanvitelli Campania University organized a Russian poetry event called “Oh, mournful season that delights the eyes!” within the frameworks of a major project “Diverse Russia”. The event was organized by M.V. Dzagaryan, lector from the Chair of Linguocommunicativistics and Applied Foreign Languages.
The event’s program included a general presentation about “Great Russian Poets and Writers” prepared by the lector and Italian students, as well as readers’ competition with the participation of beginning students.
Under the direction of the lector, students prepared for their first Russian language performance with a great interest and determination. At the competition, students read poems about nature, love, and friendship by A.S. Pushkin, M.Y. Lermontov, S.A. Esenin and others.
It is worth noting that all the participants performed well but the jury composed of M.V. Dzhagaryan, lector of the Pushkin Institute Center of Russian Language and Culture and Silvia Raucci, a graduate of IFLIT PSU master’s double diplomas program and a great fan of the Russian literature told the best readers. Sara Petrucci, II year student of Luigi Vanvitelli Campania University won the first place of the contest. Students who won the first three places were handed certificates and sweet prizes.
This event became one more important contribution into the strengthening of partnership and friendly relations between Russia and Italy, and successful work of Pushkin Institute at Luigi Vanvitelli Campania University showed again that “There's Russian spirit... Russia's scent!” (A.S. Pushkin).
