Institute of International Relations Celebrates its 13th anniversary
On March 15, 2019, Institute of International Relations celebrated its 13th anniversary. For these 13 years, IIR became an alma mater for many talented people and real experts in their fields.
Professor Zaur Aslanovich Zavrumov, prorector for scientific work and university intellectual potential development told a welcoming speech, marking out a significant contribution of the Institute faculty into Pyatigorsk State University development, and handed out letters of gratitude to lectors. Z.A. Zavrumov read the congratulations from Aleksey Solomatin, the RT chief editor counselor.
Maria Krutineva, head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs representation in Mineralnye Vody and Vladimir Shiryaev, attache Minaralnye Vody representation, who are the members of state examination committee for international relations, were traditional guests of the celebrations. They congratulated the Institute of International Relations on its birthday and thanked it for high-qualified experts, PSU graduates. A cake with Institute’s emblem was a pleasantly surprising gift.
Vyacheslav Melikhov, member of IIR supervisory board, MS Phone CEO, member of state examination committee for world economy underlined the importance of international level specialists training with several foreign languages.
Razhap Musaev, head of the TASS representation in the North Caucasus, was a distinguished guest at this big day. He highly estimated the professional skills level of journalists, who graduated from the Institute of International Relations.
The address of Professor Viktor Panin, director of Institute of International Relations, was an important part of the celebrations. He summarized the Institute activity and handed out certificates to students for their work and a significant contribution to the development of IIR research. Annual Sergey Chekmenev scholarship went to Areseniy Kshov, II year master’s student, for his success in studies, extracurricular activities, and research.
This day was celebrated with a rich concert program. IIR students managed to reflect perfectly the culture and traditions of the regions under study. They sang Russian, English, French, and Arabic songs, and reproduced an oriental charm in dances.
