Ceremonious Decoration of VI All-Russian Award “For Fidelity to Science” Honorees

On the eve of the Day of Russian Science, on February 7, 2020, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in Moscow held an annual ceremonious decoration of VI All-Russian Award “For Fidelity to Science” honorees (on the results of 2019). The finalists and honorees of the prize, nominees of the competitions, leading figures of Russian science and leaders of Russian scientific schools, young scientists, heads of youth scientific organizations, representatives of scientific and pedagogic, educational, and business community participated in the ceremony. The award is aimed at the development of professional scientific communication, support of the scientific activity prestige and popularization of scientific achievements of Russia.

Valeriy Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Aleksandr Sergeev, Presidents of the Russian Academy of Science, Academician Viktor Sadovnichiy, Rector of MSU, Grigoriy Trubnikov, first Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Pavel Zenkovich, First Deputy of the Minister of Education took part in the ceremonious decoration.

PSU delegation also took part in the event on an errand of PSU Rector Professor A.P. Gorbunov, and with organizational and methodic support of Z.A. Zavrumov, Prorector for the University Scientific Potential Development. The delegation included Professor I.V. Kicheva, Associate Professor S.N. Gikis, Associate Professor Y.E. Golovina). 

Congratulations on the Day of Russian Science sounded in the ceremony were addressed to every representative of the scientific community, and expressed confidence in the fact that Russian universities keep paying a close attention to the education of young and talented scientists, making a huge contribution to the strengthening of scientific, cultural, and educational potential of our country. Aleksandr Sergeev, President of RAS said: “And today, it is important for all of us to be true to our science, fight for our country’s scientific path to be the most attractive for school and university students, lecturers, as well as for future scientists and researchers.”
