Pyatigorsk State University – Piaget Institute: Dialogue in Russian

03.08.2021
Portuguese students of Piaget Institute, Viseu, have terminated the distant courses of Russian as a foreign language at Pushkin Institute – Center of Russian Language and Culture. The students mastered the program within 5 months. The education was organized online via Zoom. The classes and final exams were given by N.A. Orlova, Associate Professor at the Chair of Literature and Philological Education, Deputy Head of the Center of International Education. The classes included country studies, which broadened the students' knowledge about Russia, got them acquainted with Caucasus Mineral Water region cities, and Pyatigorsk State University. The students also learned about Russian songs, traditions, and customs, which evoked great interest in the Russian culture and additionally motivated the mastering of the program. The classes were interactive and organized using the newest educational online technologies.

The students successfully passed the exam (TRKI A2). It is worth noting that TRKI took two days. On the first day, students passed subtests of Writing, Reading, Vocabulary, Grammar, and on the second day, they passed subtests of Listening and Speaking.

We congratulate Portuguese students on the successful termination of the educational program and look forward to a fruitful collaboration in the future.

We recall that the project of Russian language teaching online was initiated by Tereza Panteleychuk, Head of Pushkin Institute in Portugal and Department of International Relations and Educational Programs of PSU.
