The Partnership between Pyatigorsk State University and Institute of Applied Sciences Gains Pace
05.10.2021The Chair of German Studies and Intercultural Communication headed by Natalya Shavkun and the Center of German Language and Culture, headed by Associate Professor Natalya Papka, continue working on programs of academic mobility with partner Institute of Applied Sciences in Sankt Pölten, Austria, within the internationalization of the university activity, implementation of export-guided projects, and strengthening of international prestige of PSU. Good relations have become a basis of the partnership with the Austrian Institute. The partnership includes exchange programs, a master’s program of double diplomas, as well as lecturers exchange.
Our specialists are our advantage. That is the reason why we actively invest in the training of future experts, developing international relations with partner universities of Austria and Germany, making the conditions to meet different professional needs of the youth, helping to implement creative skills of every student.
Starting from 2009, 29 students of our university have studied in Austria. Two of them, master’s students Bella Zavrumova and Gloriya Dzugkoeva, finished their study on double diploma program in 2021 (42.04.01 Advertisement and Public Relations (Commercials).
In the 2021/2022 academic year Aminta Ausheva and Milena Byasova, 4-year students of IRGLIHT, went to Austria to take part in ERASMUS+ scholarship program.Within the frameworks of development and preservation of partnership, international academic cooperation, students and lecturers of Pyatigorsk State University take an active part in the annual international student scientific and practical conference “International Week”, together with delegations from Czechia, Germany, Spain, UK, and Belgium. In 2020, due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 spread, the conference took place online. The same mode is planned for November 2021, in which students and lecturers of PSU are going to take part.
International activity of the Institute of Romance and German Languages, Innovational and Humanitarian Technologies is supervised by the Department of International Relations and Educational Programs, headed by Professor V.E. Mishin.
