Participation of PSLU Professors in the Work of the International Congress for Cognitive Linguistics 2015

From 30th September to 2nd October three professors from our university P.N. Baryshnikov, M.N. Latu, and A.V. Razduev took part in the International Congress for Cognitive Linguistics, organized by the joined cooperation of Russian Association of Lingusists-Cognitologists, Derzhavin Tambov State University, Linguistic Institute of RAS of the RF on the basis of Saint Petersburg State Economic University. 

Within the framework of “Theoretic and Methodological Problems of Cognitive Linguistics in the Light of Inter-Discipline Paradigm of the Researches” and “Metalanguage of Sciences and Terminology in Cognitive Coverage” sections, the PSLU professors represented on the highest level their scientific ideas and achievements obtained during the implementation of the programs like “Complex Cognitive Research of the Peculiarities of Terms Nomination for Priority Directions of Scientific and Technical Complex of the RF Development” with a grant of the President of the RF, “Study for the Anthropocentric Nature of a Language in Cognitive Context” backed by the Russian Scientific Fund, and “Cogniolinguistic and Lexicographic Modeling of the Fragments of Applied and Fundamental Scientific Worldview (Russian and English languages)” by the state task of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The international congress on the cognitive linguistics is the biggest scientific event in Russia on the problems of cognitive linguistics. The purpose of the congress was to discuss the timely problems, concerning the study of the interconnection of a language, speech, and thinking within the frameworks of cognitive and linguistic paradigm of the contemporary studies within inter-discipline methodological approaches.
